All India | Canal-top Solar Power Plants
India, a country with an ever increasing population (over 1.2 billion as per Census 2015) and need for energy is faced with the enormous challenge to produce energy with efficient utilization of available resources.
Gujarat | 6600 MW Chaya Mithi Virdi Nuclear Power Plant
In 2012, US-based Westinghouse Electric Co. Llc and NPCIL signed an agreement for the construction work. The project was expected to be completed by 2022-23, over three stages. NPCIL planned to acquire 777hectares of land to build a 1,000MW nuclear project, mainly covering Jasapara and two other nearby villages. It also proposed to acquire another 100hectares to build a township for its employees.
Gujarat | INTERLINKING OF RIVERS – A VITAL NEED

Gujarat | Par-Tapi-Narmada link
This link canal was proposed to divert surplus water of the rivers, like Par, Auranga, Ambica, Purna and Tapi, up to Vadodara branch of Narmada Command.
India’s Three-Stage Nuclear Power Programme
After decades of operating pressurized heavy-water reactors (PHWR), India is finally ready to start the second stage. A 500 MW Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) at Kalpakkam is set to achieve criticality any day now and four more fast breeder reactors have been sanctioned, two at the same site and two elsewhere. However, experts estimate that it would take India many more FBRs and at least another four decades before it has built up a sufficient fissile material inventory to launch the third stage.
